Betty heads are on the move

The Betty heads have been packed and moved to the new location.

Wait. What?

Yes, Angelfire is experiencing yet another big change. We've moved to Harding Township (Morristown) from the previous location in Basking Ridge. We are in a charming building that dates back to  the 1700s, which also houses a candy store / chocolate shop, Mia Dennis - a gorgeous women's clothing store - and Bettina Bierly, a world-class designer and costumer for the New York City Opera, who has a little space where she does the alterations nobody else will tackle and teaches kids to love sewing. In fact, it's Bettina who made this move happen, for which I will be ever grateful.

The space is warm and inviting, with plenty of room for the spinning and weaving I've been wanting to do. There's plenty of space in the gardens outside for working al fresco (next to a little waterfall, don't ya know), and the weather is perfect for that right now. Friday Night Knit Club is on as usual this Friday, so come by if you'd like to see what we've been up to. We will reopen on Friday, August 10 and have a Grand Opening, along with party, sometime after that. Please give us a call if you need anything before then: 973-425-0480

The Bettys and I look forward to seeing you in our new home soon!

4th of July Sale, String Theory, new classes and Klimt again!

And that includes the new String Theory Caper Sock in some gorgeous colorways. A few of them are almost gone, so come see them soon! One skein is enough to make Kirsten Kapur Design's beautiful Cerasifera shawl. Speaking of which, we still have Kirsten's trunk show in the shop. So many of her beautiful designs from her own personal collection. If you haven't seen it, you'll have to stop by.

Also in the works: A few new classes have been added to the line-up:

Klimt shrug hairpin lace class and KAL
with Carolyn Hanson.

We are beginning this class/KAL in earnest on Monday evening, July 9th, though a few people have already started theirs. There are 6 lessons to go along with the Klimt shrug and we'll offer them every other Monday with a KAL/make-up class in between. This way if you can't make it the first Monday the lesson's offered, you can make the other one.  Or come to all of them - this looks like it's going to be a lot of fun - and we can catch you up during the day or at Friday Night Knit Club. Come in anytime before class meets on July 9 and we'll set you up with everything you'll need to get started.

We're hoping wear our gorgeous works of art to the Neue Galerie for their 150th anniversary celebration of Gustav Klimt's life and art. Class will be $120.
