That's my girl!!

Yesterday, I decided to disregard all things work related and play in the mud with Scarlett. What a blast. I have to admit, I was a bit teary eyed at one point watching her work. I've been hand building with Scarlett since she's 2, and I figured since she's putting 100 piece puzzles together and trying to read, she's probably ready for some wheel throwing. Well, I was right!! I sat behind her for a few minutes, and together we threw a cute little piece as I went over the basics on how to position you hands and what not.

I figured she would dabble for a little while in the clay, not thinking that she would take it so seriously and actually concentrate. I was amazed! She was incredible. She worked diligently and looked so confident as her tiny little fingers pushed and pulled just as they should. I know tomorrow she will want to throw some more, and that's fine by me. I can hardly wait to fire and glaze them. How sweet and special, my baby shares the same love and enthusiasm as I do for this wonderful art form. I guess she'll be knitting soon too :)
